Futa is a selection of the best blocks of cabernet sauvignon in estate-owned vineyards planted in Marchigüe in 2007, but it also has 14% cabernet franc, which contributes herb and tobacco notes. The blend is made after the malolactic fermentation ends, and the wine is then aged in old barrels for two years. It has a strong presence of red fruits accompanied by very piercing tannins that build a very firm structure that's rich in tension. The wine has big, mouth-filling volume, but it's also refreshing at the same time - a good combination. Futa has been made since 2009. Score - 96. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2020)
