This is from a selection of very old carménère vines planted on sandy colluvial soils on the flatlands that belong to the Edwards family in Almahue, in the center of the Cachapoal Valley. This wine belongs to a new wave of the variety in Chile, more focused on the freshness of the fruit and leaving the fear of vegetal tones behind. Harvested early by hand, this wine shows red fruits, intense texture, and a strong herbal component. [Drink 2024+.] Score - 94. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2020)
