For the 2017 Vin de France le Creation Usseglio combined Grenache from Châteauneuf du Pape and Lirac, maturing the wines in terracotta. The result is a full-bodied wine with oodles of mixed cherry and blueberry fruit. It's silky and long, a pure delight to drink for its sheer deliciousness and hedonism. Like the other limited-edition wines from Usseglio, only 3,000 bottles were produced. Drink date: 2019-2027. Score - 96. (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Sept. 30, 2019)
