A classic cold-climate syrah, this red comes from a spot on the banks of the Maipo River very close to the sea in the Leyda Valley. Aged in foudres for a year, there are crunchy red fruits here, but it also has meaty - almost bacony - notes, which may sound odd, but is common in the variety, especially in cold climates. The texture is round and the acidity, juicy. Score - 93. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2021)
