The 2016 Pegaso Barrancos de Pizarra combines the power and ripeness of the slate soils with the freshness of the year and comes through as balanced and very complete. The oak is perfectly integrated, and the year seems like a breakthrough in the region, more elegant and floral as well as tasty, with very fine tannins and supple flavors. This is superb.
