Bright red colour of good depth. On the nose there are fragrant and lively wild berry aromas, purple flowers (maybe petunia), warm, chalky earth and a faint dusting of oak spice. The palate is more reticent, the core of fresh fruit coiled tightly in a coating of ripe tannin, dried herb and brown spice also evident, long carry on the finish. Possesses both gravitas and poise, just needs a few years to open out. Drink date: 2025-2041. Ranked #12 of 48 of The Real Review's 2018 Nebbiolo from Barbaresco. Score - 95.
