This cabernet comes from vineyards planted in 2013 on the alluvial soils of the Maipo Valley, at the foot of the Andes. It was aged for 12 months in oak, 20% new. Despite being a warm year throughout Chile's Central Valley (throughout the entire country, in fact), this wine shows a certain freshness and fluidity. The burning sensation of the alcohol is just a murmur amid the fruity, menthol, and herbal flavors, and the acidity that fulfills its role of refreshing here very well.
