A little bit of age goes a long way to changing perspective for chardonnay and here in Triomphe the gelid, curd textured and creamy generosity really lifts the spirit. However short lived that may be it's still something that one finds sweet relish and also delight because Southbrook's connectivity is something made in wood that once transformed, now alights. Yes this has moved into new territory, edging into the secondary. Vanilla persists, caramel unfolds and spices run amok. Tons 'o flavour though some will see it as warm vintage, Mâcon-ilke.
